Sanni Day Residential Group Home
Structured, supportive residential care focused on safety, daily living skills, behavior support, and individualized service planning in Gastonia, North Carolina.
Our Core Services

24-Hour Supervision & Daily Support
Every young person in our care is supported by trained staff around the clock, including awake staff overnight. Supervision here is about safety first, but also about connection. Staff are present at meals, homework, chores and bedtime, noticing how each girl is doing and stepping in early when she needs help. Consistent routines, a safe home and familiar faces help girls settle, feel secure and begin to trust the adults around them.

Behavior Support & Skill Building
We support positive behavior by teaching, not just correcting. Staff set clear, fair expectations, notice and encourage progress, and help each girl practice skills such as managing strong feelings, communicating her needs, solving problems and making safe choices. Strategies follow her individualized service plan and are shared with her therapist, caregivers and care team so that everyone responds in the same consistent, respectful way.

Education & School Coordination
School success opens doors, so education is part of every plan. We help girls get to school ready and on time, set aside quiet time each evening for homework and reading, and celebrate effort and improvement. We stay in touch with teachers, school counselors and caseworkers, share updates with guardians, and work to keep her school placement and records on track. Our goal is that a change in living situation never means a setback in school.

Daily Living Skills
We prepare girls for life beyond the group home, one practical skill at a time. Depending on her age and goals, that may include personal hygiene and self-care, keeping her room and belongings organized, laundry, planning and cooking simple meals, managing time and money, and using community resources safely. Skills are taught step by step in everyday moments, with patience and encouragement, so that independence builds confidence.

Family & Team Collaboration
Progress happens best when everyone works together. We build each girl's care plan with her, her family or guardians, and her care team, which may include her caseworker, therapist and care coordinator. We keep communication open and respectful, support family connections as her plan allows, and make sure her voice is heard in decisions about her care. Guardians and referral partners are always welcome to ask questions.
